Sixth, your opinion of yourself is the most important thing. Even if everyone disagrees, you know what was honest, what was sincere, what was yours. And that’s enough.
Seventh, stop fearing disapproval. Disapproval isn’t a disaster. It’s difference. And therein lies wealth. The world wouldn’t be a better place if everyone thought the same. Your “different” is your contribution.
Eighth, practice “silent action.” Do something that’s important to you—and don’t talk about it. Don’t post it. Don’t wait for a reaction. Just do it. This is a pure connection with yourself.
Ninth, your value doesn’t depend on reaction. You don’t become worse if you’re not praised. You don’t become better if you’re approved. You are whole within yourself.
Tenth, when you stop seeking approval, you find yourself. And that’s freedom. Because you no longer live for mirrors. You live for yourself. And that is the deepest source of confidence that exists.
